Maar wat betekent dat precies &#8211; en waarom is het belangrijk?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ANBI stands for\u2019Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling&#039;. It is a designation assigned by the tax authorities to organizations active in the public interest. To qualify, a foundation must meet stringent requirements, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have a clear public mission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least 90% of her efforts devote to the common good.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining transparent financial reporting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that board members work without personal gain.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For donors, ANBI status means that their contributions are eligible for tax deduction under Dutch law. For the foundation, this means meeting high standards of governance, accountability and transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Stichting Afrikaanse Vrienden we are proud that we meet these standards. Our board works on a voluntary basis and the majority of all donations go directly to projects in Kenya \u2013 from school fees to vocational training and support for children&#039;s homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ANBI status is more than a label.
